My Mountains

My mountain is there everywhere I go. It stares me down and tests my ego.

It challenges me to climb if I dare, to sit on it’s peak and quietly stare.

My mountain it asks me to push further, to try harder, to be stronger.

My mountain it asks me to push further, to try harder, to be stronger.

It reminds me there are no short cuts, no cheats to get me there.

My mountain has fullness and breadth to spare. It whispers to me when I’m crippled in despair.

So, I climb and climb, hoping that one day my mountain will move me to rest and stay.
